Curly All Winter Long!

“During winter, Quebec-based productions are limited.” Think again! Hydroserre Mirabel adds yet another product to the shelves of your favourite grocery store: locally-sourced curly lettuce is available all year round, thanks to their hydroponic greenhouses. It took over three years to find the right seed, making it possible to grow curly lettuce in the midst of February.

Up-to-Date Innovation

With the objective of prolonging the shelf life of their produce and minimize food waste, Hydroserre Mirabel developed their PET 1 plastic packaging. This type of packaging not only maintains optimal levels of moisture without hindering the cold chain, but also guarantees an absolute freshness. Hydroserre Mirabel now has a new mission to find new alternatives to PET 1 plastic to reduce their ecological footprint while meeting the highest quality food standards.

In the meantime, you can find Mirabel’s curly lettuce in a two-pack at your supermarket. Fresh, crispy and perfectly curly, the Mirabel curly lettuce complements beautifully the club sandwiches, makes outstanding niçoise salads and is ideal for classic lettuce wraps!
