Did you know that Montreal has 47 microbreweries that combined produce 4000 tons of waste annually? Once the brewing process has been completed, the delicious spent grains are often thrown away. That’s why COOP Boomerang’s mission is to fight food waste by upcycling those spent grain into a nutritious, eco-friendly and tasty flour. This flour is a great addition to any recipe with a good source of fibre and iron, and that contains 6g of protein per portion. As well as subtle notes of roasted nuts, chocolate & caramel.
