Mashed potatoes are the perfect side dish to traditional Quebec meals! Sometimes neglected by some, this puree can however be delectable. If it is well made, creamy, tasty and smooth, it will be a very pleasant taste experience that is easy to make.

Puree with peas.
To add a touch of holiday green with a sweet and pleasant taste.
For 250 g (about 1 cup) purée, add 60 g (1/4 cup) cooked frozen peas, pureed with a little cream. Add to mashed potatoes, adjust seasoning and decorate with whole peas.
With apples, shallots and strong cheddar cheese.
For the rich and distinguished taste of strong cheddar, with a touch of Quebec sweetness.
For 250 g (about 1 cup) puree, add 60 g (1/4 cup) of diced apple sautéed in butter with a little finely chopped shallot. Then add cheddar cheese to the puree, grated to taste.
Mashed potatoes with poutine
A typical Quebec taste, which is made in the blink of an eye with ingredients that we all have at hand. A good way to surprise your guests with your originality!
For 250 g (about 1 cup) of mashed potatoes, add 1 to 2 crumbled meatballs and garnish with some cheese and a little stew sauce. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
