Brasserie La Ferme: From Field to Glass, a Story Rooted in Terroir
In the heart of the Eastern Townships, a brewery unlike any other cultivates far more than beer — it cultivates a vision. Winner of the 2025 "Terroir d'ici" award presented by the Association des microbrasseries du Québec and sponsored by Aliments du Québec, Brasserie La Ferme embodies an approach deeply rooted in the land, the seasons, and local craftsmanship.
Because here, everything truly begins in the fields.
A Full-Fledged Farming Brewery
Unlike many microbreweries, Brasserie La Ferme grows its own grains and organic hops. This proximity to raw ingredients completely transforms how beer is conceived: every recipe is born from a dialogue with nature.
The result? Traceable, consistent, and vibrant terroir beers. These are complemented by local ingredients sourced through close partnerships with other regional producers. Haskap berries come from Ferme Les Petits Fruits du Clocher, rhubarb from Ferme Folie Douce, raspberries from Ferme Aux P'tits Fruits, and ginger from Ferme de la Canopée. These partnerships strengthen a rich, living, and supportive local agricultural ecosystem.
But beyond the farming approach, there is also genuine creative freedom. From vibrant hops to more complex mixed fermentations, each batch reflects a desire to explore without ever compromising on quality.

Produce Less, but Better
In a market driven by constant novelty, Brasserie La Ferme makes a deliberate counter-current choice: to slow down.
Here, recipes evolve at the pace of the harvest. Each batch is unique, shaped by agricultural conditions and ingredient availability. This approach gives rise to beers that are both accessible and refined, equally suited to accompany a meal or stand on their own.
Even the choice of packaging reflects this philosophy. Offered in bottles, the beers benefit from better preservation and align with a sustainable, eco-conscious approach.

An Authentic Identity
The company's name leaves no room for ambiguity: Brasserie La Ferme. Simple, direct, and grounded in reality, it serves as a reminder that behind every beer lies agricultural work, a territory, and the turning of seasons.
This identity extends to the brewery's logo, inspired by a Kubota tractor, a nod to a memorable story from the company's early days. This symbol brings together the key elements of their world: the barn, the crops, the fields… and above all, the inseparable bond between the land and the final product.

A Community at the Heart of the Project
While the quality of the products is undeniable, the success of Brasserie La Ferme also rests on the experience it offers. Its terrace, which has become a true destination, draws visitors in search of authenticity. The landscape, the atmosphere, and the closeness to the producers create a special moment — one that you naturally want to share.
This word-of-mouth, combined with an assumed transparency and consistent quality, has allowed the brewery to build a strong relationship of trust with its customers..

A Beer That Brings People Together
Among the roughly sixty recipes developed since its founding, one stands out: the rustic IPA. A true gateway into the world of Brasserie La Ferme, it wins people over with its balance between aromatic intensity and softness on the palate.
Expressive without being excessive, it perfectly reflects the brewery's signature: a thoughtful, approachable beer deeply anchored in its origins.
With 40 acres of cultivated land, hundreds of hop plants, and an uncompromising vision, Brasserie La Ferme proves that there is another way to do things.
Authentic, from field to glass.
