Chez Mario Tremblay
An Alma institution since 1980, Restaurant Chez Mario Tremblay relies on Lac-Saint-Jean suppliers for quality products. Beer, cheeses, meats and local vegetables compose a menu anchored in its region.
The adventure of Restaurant Chez Mario Tremblay began on August 14, 1980 in Alma, with the opening of the Brasserie, a popular gathering place. In 1986, Mario Tremblay celebrated the Stanley Cup there downtown. In 1992, the establishment became "Restaurant-bar Mario Tremblay" with a new concept, then expanded in 1996 with a reception hall and multifunctional spaces. In 2021, Sébastien Rodrigue became the new owner, determined to preserve this regional institution. The team builds ties with Lac-Saint-Jean suppliers — beer, fruits, vegetables, breads, cheeses, meat — to anchor the restaurant in the Alma landscape and offer quality products made by passionate people.
