The Aliments du Québec Verification Process Receives ISO 9001:2015 Certification
Aliments du Québec is pleased to announce that its quality management system governing the granting and protection of its certification marks Aliments du Québec, Aliments préparés au Québec, and their organic versions has obtained ISO 9001:2015 certification. This international recognition confirms the strength and reliability of the verification processes that support the attribution of its certification marks.
For Isabelle Roy, Executive Director of Aliments du Québec, this represents an important milestone for the organization.
“We are very proud to announce that our verification process is now ISO 9001:2015 certified. This certification crowns a voluntary initiative carried out with conviction by our Verification and Compliance team. Nothing is left to chance: each food product undergoes an individual verification supported by documentary evidence. Obtaining this certification confirms the robustness of our verification process, which is unique in Canada. It also strengthens the credibility of our marks—trusted reference points for identifying foods grown, raised, harvested, or processed here. Aliments du Québec is also the only organization supported by the ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation (MAPAQ) that certifies the origin of foods.”

Issued by the global certification body NQA, ISO 9001:2015 certification confirms that the quality management system governing the granting and protection of the certification marks Aliments du Québec, Aliments préparés au Québec, and their organic versions is based on internationally recognized practices.

“ISO 9001:2015 certification of our verification process further strengthens the very foundation of our mission: to rigorously certify the origin of local foods and promote buying local throughout Quebec. For businesses, partners, and consumers, this announcement provides an additional assurance of trust. More than ever, transparency is sought when choosing local foods—and that’s exactly what we offer,” concludes Ms. Roy.
