Longueuil, June 9, 2026 — Aliments du Québec is proud to unveil the five restaurants nominated for the 2026 Prix restaurateur, awarded as part of its Aliments du Québec au menu recognition program.
Created in 2018, the award highlights establishments that stand out for their commitment to sourcing, using and showcasing Québec foods.
Five Establishments Recognized for Their Commitment to Local Foods
Following a selection process based on the promotion of local products and the proportion of locally sourced ingredients—which reached an impressive average of 90% across all finalists—Aliments du Québec is pleased to present the restaurants in the running for the 2026 Prix restaurateur:
- Hoogan et Beaufort (Montréal)
- Laurie Raphaël (Québec)
- Coteau (Québec)
- Les Mal-Aimés (Estrie)
- Chez Mathilde (Côte-Nord)
Previously nominated or shortlisted in past editions, these exceptional establishments stand out for their remarkable consistency over the years, demonstrating the strength and longevity of their commitment to Québec foods.
"This year's finalists are true role models when it comes to local sourcing. Identifying and showcasing their suppliers is an integral part of their culinary DNA. Through their dishes, their menus and their conversations with guests, they tell the story of Québec while shining a spotlight on the artisans behind every product. This award is our way of thanking them for championing local sourcing with such passion. With summer just around the corner, it's the perfect time to hit the road and discover the flavours of Québec by visiting the five nominated restaurants."
— Isabelle Roy, Executive Director of Aliments du Québec
Video Features Throughout the Summer and Winner Announcement in September
Over the coming weeks, each restaurant will be featured in a video capsule shared on Aliments du Québec's digital platforms. Produced in collaboration with Geneviève O'Gleman, these videos will introduce viewers to the establishments, their approach and the local artisans who supply them.

The grand winner will be announced on September 28 at Musée de la civilisation in Québec City during an exclusive evening bringing together restaurateurs who are members of the program, food artisans and partners from the agri-food industry.
