When Fabienne and Frédéric Guitel took over the Thuot family farm, which would later become La Suisse Normande, they continued growing tobacco for a few years.
The tobacco lath was an essential tool for this crop, but it also served many other purposes: as a stake for garden tomatoes, as a sword for sibling battles, or as an improvised baseball bat (which often ended badly!!!).
In short, this simple piece of wood brings back many fond memories, and this cheese is sure to create some equally memorable ones for you!
